Straight Male Escort Agency Scams

Only a very small percentage of escort clients are straight females. Any straight man thinking of going into escorting should be aware of this. Currently there are a lot of companies trying to scam straight males wishing to break into escorting in the UK out of money, by claiming they are 'desperate' for UK male escorts and promising them vast amounts of work in exchange for an agency joining or advertising fee that will actually get them no work whatsoever. Some of these scammers have already tried to target Irish males too and no doubt more will in the future. Of course not all companies offering to employ or advertise male escorts are scamming, but straight males wanting to get into escorting should be aware that scammers are around. SW5 provides excellent information about this issue. See http://www.sw5.info/straightmen.htm for further information.

Harassment & Threats in Limerick

An independent escort has contacted me to say that on her first visit to Limerick last month she had problems with a menacing man phoning her and telling her she was not welcome. She has just toured Limerick again and this man was very abusive and threatening to her this time around. He first attempted to make an appointment, but the escort of course refused. He then claimed he had already made an appointment using a different name / number and he knew exactly where the escort was located and proceeded to start threatening the lady that he would around to rob and beat her later. The abusive and threatening phone calls and text messages were very nasty and went on around the clock whilst she was touring Limerick. This man appears to target touring ladies and he may have a connection to an escort agency in Limerick. He has recently been using the number 087 94674** (last 2 digits removed for privacy reasons) so please watch out for him if you are working in Limerick as he may well be dangerous. Thank you to the lady who reported this matter.

Con Artists Targeting Punters on Message Boards

It has just been reported to me that two Punters in Dublin were recently conned out of money by an escort service they found via its posts on one of the popular Irish escort message boards. The escort service in question is onetooneescorts@hotmail.com. All punters should be warned it appears this agency is a complete con. Aside this specific incident, if you are a punter who responds to advertisements on Irish escort message boards, you should be wary in general I think of those who advertise their services solely via posts on Irish escort message boards. Most Irish agencies and independent escorts pay to advertise on one of the popular Irish escort websites, and, apart from the fact con artists are not inclined to do this (they like taking money, not parting with it!), all of the major Irish escort websites vigorously investigate any complaints they receive about their advertisers (as they certainly do not want to be associated with any cons). So, if an Irish agency or independent escort is advertised in the listings section of a major Irish escort website, I think you can be fairly sure it / she is a genuine service provider. You cannot however be at all sure anyone who only advertises via posting messages on Irish escort message boards is a genuine service provider I think. Whilst I’m sure there are plenty of genuine people in the Irish escort business who advertise via message board posts only, obviously there are con artists out there too, and you should be aware I think: There is a much higher risk of being conned out of money when you use an Irish escort service provider who is not properly advertised on a major Irish escort website.

More Trouble in Waterford

A client, Tom (not real name), reports the problems with ladies being hassled by a criminal gang in Waterford are still going on. He visited an escort in Waterford yesterday, 20-10-05, and three unsavoury men turned up right in the middle of his appointment. Luckily there was himself and three ladies there when this happened and all four managed to get away from the place safely. If it had been only the ladies or at worst just one lady on her own there, this probably would not have been possible. He and the ladies feel it is a person that owns another agency in Waterford who is doing this. He reports the ladies were very upset. Apparently one got straight on the next bus to Dublin she was so terrified. Tom wants to thank the agency owner for her professionalism in dealing with the situation when he called her and I think she and the girls want to thank Tom for all his help too. Tom also says that he used to use the other agency but they were totally unprofessional, the girls are treated like shit, and the punters not much better. He feels punters in Waterford should be able to make their own choices, about which escorts they want to see and which ones they don’t want to see, and this intimidation of ladies in the Waterford region really isn’t on.

Touring Ireland: Dangerous Agency Warning

Report received today from two ladies that recently toured with www.escortireland.info advising other ladies not to tour with this operation for their own safety. Apparently the www.escortireland.info operation is run by men and operates all over the Republic of Ireland, but a woman called Karmen / Katyia using the number 087 9567*** has generally been dealing with the ladies before they get to Ireland to date. The report states that the two escorts, who are friends, responded to an advert from this agency and arranged to go over to tour with them on 15/11/05. The girls were met at the airport by a driver and then taken to two separate apartments (one in Naas and the other in Waterford). No information was given to them regards the clients and the service they required, they were just informed a client was at the door whenever one was. Twice a day two heavies would come and collect their money off them, and the agency was taking a higher percentage than was left the girls. On Wednesday evening the police raided one of the flats and the girl there was taken in for questioning. This girl then rang the other girl and the other girl then made moves to leave early and meet her friend at Dublin airport. The heavies got wind of this and arrived and took all her money off her and her mobile phone and warned her not to talk to the police or she would be sorry (at knifepoint). She left as soon as she could and managed to make the 3 hour trip back to Dublin to get a flight home (she had just enough money hidden to do this). When girl number one got to the airport the heavies were waiting for her there, but she was sensible enough to alert the police at the airport and they disappeared. This experience has left these two girls in no doubt that they were very lucky to get home alive and apparently the police stated this to them also. They genuinely fear for the safety of other girls who may tour with this agency and this is their reason for putting this information into the public domain. I don’t publish reports including the URL of the website complained about if it is possible to give the warning without doing so, but I have in this case because it is the only clear way to identify the operation, plus this is a very serious matter and I have no reason to think this report is being made in any way vexatiously. Of course I would advise keeping an open mind as always though. There are agencies in Ireland that treat their ladies well, but, as this report highlights, there are also those that treat their ladies very badly, If you are planning to tour Ireland with an agency, make proper checks on the agency before you do anything else. Good Irish escort agencies that invite touring ladies should have lots of escorts that have toured with them previously willing to recommend them. Update 21/11/05: A friend of the two ladies that recently toured Ireland with www.escortireland.info, Penny, who has been vocal online about the treatment of her two friends at the hands of www.escortireland.info, wrote to me today to say she has just been threatened over the phone by an Irishman who feels no blame rests with www.escortireland.info here as that website is just an advertising forum for escorts. The www.escortireland.info website does have an 'Employment' page inviting escorts to contact them though, plus the 'Advertising' phone number listed on the site is the same one the two touring ladies here had as a contact number for their agent, so I don't think www.escortireland.info can act like it is blameless here. I also note one of the Sunday rags picked up on this story over the weekend. They copied some text Penny had written nearly word for word and then added in an implication that the owners of www.escortireland.info are two persons (that they named but I won't here) that are nothing whatsoever to do with www.escortireland.info and never have been. This story isn't about slandering anyone who owns any escort websites, as I have seen it suggested elsewhere, it is a true story from two girls who did tour Ireland and have this experience. It is a shame lazy tabloid journalists always seem to feel the need to colour true stories that come there way by adding lies to them that they think make them more juicy I presume.
